Julian Quiñones is a two time Emmy award-winning producer and director of photography. He’s filmed in over 60 countries, across all 7 continents, and currently heads video production for CNN’s chief climate correspondent Bill Weir.

He’s developed and filmed three major network documentary series - all four seasons of CNN’s “The Wonder List with Bill Weir”, CBS’s “On Assignment", and most recently CNN’s “The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper.” In addition to these, he’s filmed and produced special reports for CNN’s Documentary Unit, and stand alone stories for special series including "Champions for Change", "Visionaries", and "Call to Earth".

He's won two Emmys, one in 2024 for "The Whole Story" documentary series, on which he traveled and followed a group of whale researchers and humpbacks from Antarctica to Colombia, and another for the CNN special documentary “Eating Planet Earth: The Future of Your Food”. In 2021 he received a Covering Climate Now Journalism award for "The Road To Change: America's Climate Crisis", which was lauded by the Columbia Journalism Review as "one of the very best pieces of climate journalism ever run by a mainstream US news organization."

From the edges of Antarctic glaciers, to towns rebuilding after flood or fire, his work documents a world remaking itself—often from places few cameras reach.
